Connect Cursor

Add Darwin to Cursor with Add to Cursor or a line in mcp.json, sign in, choose Full access or View only, and ask about your chat's results, leads and tests from Cursor.

  • In Darwin: Integrations → AI assistants → Claude, ChatGPT & CursorOpen in Darwin
  • Updated

Add Darwin to Cursor and ask about your website chat while you work, or have Cursor update your agent's knowledge and wording with full access.

  1. Select Add to Cursor

    In Darwin, open Integrations and select Connect on the Claude, ChatGPT & Cursor card. Under Connect your assistant, select Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and adds Darwin.

    Step 2, Connect your assistant, with buttons for Claude, ChatGPT and Add to Cursor.
  2. Sign in from Cursor's MCP settings

    Open Cursor Settings → MCP and select Connect (or Needs login) next to Darwin.

  3. Sign in to Darwin and choose the access

    Cursor sends you to Darwin. Sign in, check the Workspace (1), or select Switch to pick another. Choose Full access or View only (2) and select Connect Cursor (3). You go back to Cursor.

    Darwin's connect screen: the Workspace marked 1, Full access and View only marked 2, and the Connect button marked 3.
  4. Ask a question

    In Cursor's chat, ask for example "Using Darwin, what did visitors ask about most this week?"

Add Darwin by hand

Instead of Add to Cursor, add Darwin to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then sign in from Cursor Settings → MCP:

JSON
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "darwin": { "url": "https://app.meetdarwin.ai/api/mcp" }
  }
}

Good to know

  • View only reads results, conversations, leads, meetings and tests. Full access can also change knowledge, the agent's wording, look and chat buttons, opening tests, and switch the chat on or off. It never gets billing, your team or API keys.
  • Only an owner or admin can connect a workspace.
  • To disconnect, open Integrations → API → AI assistants and select Disconnect.
