New: chat buttons, personal links and quote requests are live

Step 5: Go live

Setting up on your own: turn on Turn your agent live in Agent Studio so visitors see the chat, check it on your website, and know what the switch needs first. Completes Go live on Home.

Going live shows the chat to visitors on your website. It's one switch at the top right of Agent Studio.

  1. Turn your agent live

Open Agent Studio and turn on Turn your agent live. The badge changes from Not live to Live on your website.

The Not live badge and the Turn your agent live switch, highlighted, at the top right of Agent Studio.
  2. If the switch says something is missing

The switch needs the earlier steps done: a saved agent, your website and its knowledge, a goal for visitors, billing ready and the tag found on your site. The goal is a connected calendar or booking link, or a live outcome form such as Request a quote. Book a meeting's questions on their own don't count. Darwin tells you what's missing. Integrations shows the website and calendar status at the top.

The status cards at the top of Integrations: Website, not installed yet, with Install; Calendar, not connected, with Choose a calendar.
  3. Check it on your website

Open your website in a private window. The chat button appears, answers a question and offers times. Book one real test meeting and check it reaches your calendar and Meetings, then cancel it in your calendar.

Good to know

  • Turn the same switch off to hide the chat at any time. Your settings stay as they are.
  • While Darwin is live, it won't let you remove its last calendar or live form. Add another one first, or switch Darwin off.
  • On Free, the chat pauses once your 5 free credits are used, until you add a card in Billing.
  • After launch, Home shows your results instead of the setup steps.
  • The go-live checklist lists everything worth checking before you tell your team.
