TL;DR
- Pick by the job Drift did for you: an enterprise AI SDR (Qualified, 1mind), account identification (Warmly), an inbound SDR for forms and chat (Breakout, Docket), or self-serve chat that books meetings (Darwin).
- Clari + Salesloft is phasing Drift out and referring customers to 1mind. Salesloft now says Drift retires on 31 January 2027, or at the end of your contract if that comes first.
- Seven of the nine publish at least a starting price. 1mind and Qualified sell by quote, so we asked their own website chats what they cost.
- Before you switch, export your playbooks and pull three months of meetings per page, so the new tool has a baseline to beat.
How we researched this
- 9 products reviewed. Each one says how and when, under its heading.
- 115 sources. Each with the date it was read. See the list.
- Facts last checked .
Written by Ari Goldstein, Founder & CEO, Darwin. We make Darwin, one of the products reviewed here; our editorial policy says how we handle that.
The right Drift replacement depends on the job Drift did for you. If your account team is steering you to 1mind, take the demo, but expect a new implementation rather than a migration, and a budget its own chat put at around $100,000 a year. Enterprise teams that run on Salesforce usually look at Qualified first. If the job was turning website conversations into booked sales meetings and you would rather set it up yourself, Darwin is the closest match; it is ours, so read the disclosure below.Sources1mind
Warmly suits teams that care most about which companies are on the site, and Breakout and Docket are inbound AI SDRs for mid-market teams that want forms and chat handled together. If you already pay for HubSpot or Intercom, switch on the chat you own before buying anything. Tidio fits support chat for a small business or an online store.
Here is where things stand. On 5 March 2026, Clari + Salesloft announced a gradual sunset of Drift and said it would refer existing Drift customers to 1mind as the successor. Salesloft's Drift Sunset FAQ, updated in September, sets the date: Drift retires on 31 January 2027, or when your contract ends if that comes first.SourcesSalesloft +11mind
A disclosure before the list: we make Darwin, AI website chat that answers questions and books meetings, so we are not neutral. We put it third, after the successor Clari + Salesloft names and the enterprise option most Drift customers look at first, because for Drift's core job, a website conversation that ends in a booked meeting, it is the closest match you can set up yourself. Judge that against its section, which says what it does not do. Every price and plan detail comes from the vendor's own pages and shows the date we checked it.

What is happening to Salesloft Drift
Salesloft bought Drift in February 2024 and folded its chatbot into a wider revenue platform. Clari and Salesloft then completed their merger on 3 December 2025, and three months later the combined company said Drift would be wound down. Its announcement calls this “the gradual sunset of its Drift conversational marketing solution” and says the company “will refer existing Drift clients to 1mind as the successor.”SourcesPYMNTSSalesloft +11mind
Drift's own website has already moved on. As of 5 October 2026, drift.com forwards to a Salesloft page headed “We've transitioned from Drift to 1mind”. For existing customers, though, the contract is what counts. Access ends on 31 January 2027 or when your contract ends, whichever comes first, so plan to be off Drift before that date.SourcesSalesloft +1
Compare prices before that renewal comes up. Drift's last public price list, archived in July 2024, started Premium at $2,500 a month billed annually; today salesloft.com/pricing opens a Talk to Sales form, so you cannot check your renewal against anything current. Seven of the nine tools below publish at least a starting price. If Darwin and Drift are the two you are weighing, we also keep a direct Darwin vs Drift comparison.SourcesDriftSalesloft
What Drift did well, and what to keep
Drift's pitch in 2016 was simple. Stop making buyers fill in a form and wait. Talk to them while they are on the page, and if they are a fit, put a meeting on the calendar right there. That is still the right idea, and it is the scorecard we used for every tool on this list.
- Answers from your content. Drift's chatbot replied from material you uploaded to its Content Library. The best alternatives now read your website directly, so the answers stay current when your pages change.
- Booking inside the conversation. Drift's Book a Meeting skill dropped a rep's calendar into the chat. Look for the same thing, not a link that opens a new tab and loses the visitor.
- A different opening on different pages. Someone on your pricing page has a different question from someone in your docs. The first message should know that.
- Reporting that follows a visitor from the page to the meeting. If you cannot see which pages produce meetings, you cannot improve them.
Leave behind the parts nobody misses: pricing you only learn on a sales call, an implementation project before the first conversation, and opening lines you wrote once at setup and never touched again.
How we picked and checked these tools
We started from what Drift was bought for: answer a visitor on the page and, if they are a fit, get a meeting on a rep's calendar. A tool made the list if it does that job for a B2B website today, or if Clari + Salesloft names it as the successor. We left out live-chat inboxes with no qualification and outbound-only AI SDRs. The wider conversational marketing field Drift started has its own guide.
- What we read. Each vendor's own pricing, product and help pages, first in September 2026 and again on 5 October 2026. Every price, plan and capability on this page is a fact with its source and the date we last checked it; hover a table cell to see both.
- What we asked. 1mind and Qualified publish no prices, so we asked the chat on each company's own website what it costs, on 1 and 2 October 2026. We quote what each chat said, with the date. We gave no contact details and booked nothing.Sources1mindQualified
- What we did not do. We did not buy or trial every tool, and we do not repeat vendors' own outcome claims ("3x more pipeline"). Where a cell says Not documented, the vendor's public pages did not confirm the capability; that is not the same as no.
- Where we stand. Darwin is ours. Its section says what it does not do, and its facts are checked the same way as everyone else's.
The pros and cons under each tool are our standing review of that product, shared with our other guides and rechecked on a schedule. The summary and verdict in each section are written for someone leaving Drift.

1mind: the successor Clari + Salesloft recommends
Large B2B teams that want AI agents to run product demos on video and voice, and can budget around six figures a year.
Teams that want a self-serve chat widget they can install and test this week.
1mind sells what it calls Superhumans: photorealistic AI agents that qualify visitors, run product demos and handle objections on your website, inside your product and on live calls. Clari + Salesloft named it the exclusive successor for Drift customers in March 2026.SourcesSalesloft1mind
1mind publishes no prices, so we asked the agent on its own website. It told us pricing is annual and “usually starts around $100,000”, with many first deployments between $100,000 and $150,000. The public site does not mention a trial, and it does not say whether a meeting can be booked inside the chat itself.Sources1mind
The announcement is on Salesloft's newsroom and on 1mind's own site.

1mind pros
- Named by Clari + Salesloft as the successor for Drift customers
- Agents work on video and voice as well as text
- Runs product demos, not just answers
1mind cons
- No published pricing or trial; its chat put the start around $100,000 a year
- Booking a meeting inside the chat is not described on its public pages
- A different product from a chat widget; expect a new implementation
1mind is worth a demo if your account team is pushing it, you like the idea of demos on video, and a budget around $100,000 a year is realistic. It is not a like-for-like swap for Drift's widget.

Qualified: the enterprise Drift replacement on Salesforce
Enterprise revenue teams that run on Salesforce and want an AI SDR with a services team behind it.
Small teams without Salesforce, or anyone who wants a price before a sales call.
For a Drift customer on Salesforce, Qualified covers the most familiar ground. Piper, its AI SDR, greets known accounts by name using intent from Salesforce and your marketing stack, and pulls a rep into the conversation while a valuable visitor is still on the page. When the visitor is ready, Piper schedules sales meetings on the right rep's calendar.SourcesQualified +1
Qualified has been part of Salesforce since 1 April 2026, which makes it the most Salesforce-native option on this list.SourcesSalesforce
Moving your Drift Content Library across is close to a like-for-like job: Piper learns from content you upload, such as messaging, product details, knowledge bases and FAQs, and Qualified's public pages do not say it reads your website on its own. Pricing works the way Drift's did, by quote after a demo. When we asked Piper for a starting price or a typical range on 2 October, it said it could not share either.SourcesQualified

Darwin: self-serve chat that books meetings and tests its own openings
Teams that want website chat to book sales meetings, set up themselves and priced per meeting or qualified request.
Teams that need a support inbox, outbound email, or company-level visitor identification.
Paste your URL and Darwin reads your site, drafts the assistant and writes the first opening line. A visitor gets an answer from your content and, once they seem interested, is offered a time on your team's calendar inside the chat, through Calendly, Google Calendar or RevenueHero.
What sets it apart is what happens after launch. With automatic testing on, Darwin tries different opening lines on each page, promotes the ones that bring more visitors to the booking step (never one that books fewer meetings) and starts the next test from the winner. Of the nine tools here, it is the only one whose public pages describe writing new openings and running those tests itself. Qualified describes learning from your feedback and A/B tests of two versions your team builds, Warmly says its top tier auto-learns and its popups promote a winning offer automatically, Docket says a customer success manager runs A/B tests without saying what they test, Breakout describes testing openers per segment, Intercom and Tidio let you split visitors between messages you write, and HubSpot and 1mind do not describe testing their openings.
Free costs $0/mo and includes 5 free credits. After that you pay $30/credit, or move to a plan starting at $299/mo. Growth includes 10 credits a month; Agency includes 25, pooled across up to 200 client workspaces.SourcesDarwin

Pay as you go. Tidio has a free plan and a $29/mo Starter plan, with its AI agent billed on top. Darwin's Free plan costs $0/mo and includes 5 free credits; after that it charges $30/credit, and paid plans start at $299/mo.SourcesTidioDarwin
The useful question is less what each tool costs than what you are paying for. Per-seat plans charge for people. Resolution and credit pricing charges for answers. Quote-based contracts charge for the platform. Darwin charges per booked meeting. Pick the model that matches the result you wanted from Drift, then compare the number against your last Drift invoice.
How to migrate off Drift without losing pipeline
Seven steps, in the order that protects your pipeline. Most teams can do the first four this week.
- Get your date. Ask your account team for your access end date in writing, and put your renewal date next to it. Whichever comes first is your deadline.
- Export what you built. Playbooks, routing rules, saved replies, conversation history and the Content Library. Do this now, while you still have full access.
- Measure before you switch. Pull three months of conversations and meetings per page. This is the baseline the new tool has to beat, and you will not be able to pull it later.
- Rebuild knowledge from the source. Most alternatives read your website or your documents directly. Fix stale pages before you point a new assistant at them.
- Wire the booking flow, then book a test meeting yourself. Check that it lands on the right rep's calendar with the visitor's details attached.
- Swap the script and redirect the links. Remove the Drift tag, add the new one, and click through every template to make sure the widget appears where you expect.
- Run both for a week if you can. Send half your traffic to the new tool, compare it against the baseline, then switch the rest.
How to choose a Drift alternative
Nine tools is a lot to keep straight, so here is the same list sorted by the situation you are in.
- Your account team is steering you to 1mind. Take the demo if video demos appeal and a budget around $100,000 a year is realistic, and plan it as a new implementation.Sources1mind
- You are an enterprise on Salesforce with a RevOps team. Start with Qualified.
- You want chat that books sales meetings, set up yourself and priced per meeting. Try Darwin.
- Knowing which companies are on the site matters as much as the chat. Look at Warmly.
- You want one inbound AI SDR for forms and chat. Compare Breakout and Docket; Docket suits heavier traffic and a deep content library.
- You already pay for HubSpot or Intercom. Turn on the chat you own this week and see how far it gets you.
- You run a small business or an online store and need support chat on a budget. Tidio.
Whichever way you go, keep Drift's original promise as the test: someone asks a question, gets a real answer, and leaves with a meeting on the calendar.
Questions about Drift alternatives.
Is Drift shutting down?
Yes, though not overnight. Clari + Salesloft announced a gradual sunset of Drift in March 2026. The company says it will refer existing Drift customers to 1mind. Salesloft's Drift Sunset FAQ says Drift retires on 31 January 2027, or when your contract ends if that comes first, and remaining data is deleted on 1 May 2027.
What is the best Drift alternative?
It depends on the job Drift did for you. Enterprise teams on Salesforce usually land on Qualified. 1mind is the successor Clari + Salesloft recommends. Warmly makes sense when you also want to know which companies are visiting. If you want website chat that books meetings and that you can set up yourself, Darwin is the closest match; we make Darwin, so weigh that accordingly.
What are some alternatives to Drift chat?
The nine we compared are 1mind, Qualified, Darwin, Warmly, Breakout, Docket, HubSpot, Intercom and Tidio. All of them put a chat on your site. Where they part ways is whether the meeting gets booked inside the conversation, how each one learns your content, and what you are charged for: seats, answers, contracts or meetings.
How much did Drift cost, and what will an alternative cost?
Drift no longer publishes prices. Its last public list, archived in July 2024, started the Premium plan at $2,500 a month billed annually, and the higher tiers were quoted, so most customers only know their own number. The alternatives span the whole range: Darwin, HubSpot and Tidio have free plans, while enterprise options like Docket start at $4,000/mo on an annual contract, and 1mind's own chat told us its deployments usually start around $100,000 a year.
Is there a free Drift alternative?
Yes, three on this list. HubSpot's free tools include live chat and a basic chatbot, with HubSpot branding on the widget. Tidio has a free plan, though its AI agent is sold separately. Darwin's Free plan has no monthly fee and includes 5 free credits, then charges per booked meeting or qualified request. The enterprise options here, Qualified, 1mind, Warmly and Docket, sell through a demo and a contract.
What is 1mind, and is it a good Drift replacement?
1mind makes AI sales agents it calls Superhumans, which qualify visitors and run product demos on video and voice as well as text. Clari + Salesloft named it the exclusive successor for Drift customers, so your account team may steer you there. It is a different product from a chat widget, priced by quote (its own chat told us deployments usually start around $100,000 a year), and its public pages do not describe booking a meeting inside the chat. Take the demo, but plan for a new implementation rather than a migration.
Can a Drift alternative book meetings directly in chat?
Several can. Qualified, Warmly, Breakout, Docket and Darwin all offer a time inside the conversation and confirm it there. HubSpot and Intercom get there through meetings links or Fin for Sales. Tidio hands the visitor a scheduling link instead, which works but breaks the flow. 1mind's public pages do not say whether a meeting can be booked inside the chat.
