How custom code works in Framer
Framer is unusually good at this. Open Project Settings, choose Custom Code, and you get four slots: the start and end of the head, and the start and end of the body. A chat widget belongs at the end of the body, so it loads after your content. You can also choose whether the code runs on every page or on specific pages only, which is how you keep a demo-booking chat off your careers page.
For a panel that sits inside a page rather than in the corner, Framer's Embed block does the job: add it from Utility, set the type to HTML, and paste the vendor's code. And for a handful of tools, Framer goes further and ships a native component. Intercom is one; you drag it onto the canvas and paste a workspace ID into the properties panel.

Paste your workspace snippet into Framer's site-wide custom code and publish; there is no separate Darwin marketplace app. There is no Darwin component to drag in and nothing to maintain in the editor; the snippet at the end of the body is the whole integration, and you can limit it to the pages that should have chat.
Darwin reads your Framer site on its own: Discovers relevant website pages and prepares the knowledge base. A visitor asks a question, gets an answer from your pages, and if they sound interested, picks a time on your calendar through Calendly, RevenueHero or HubSpot Meetings without leaving the chat.

Intercom is the one tool here with a native Framer component. Framer ships an Intercom component: find Intercom in the Integrations section, drag it onto the canvas and paste your workspace ID into the ID field. Preview or publish and the Messenger is live. From there you get the whole product: Fin answering from your content, and Fin for Sales on top for qualification and, through Calendly or HubSpot, booking.
The price is the reason it is not the default for a marketing site. Seats start at $39/seat/mo, and on top of that Fin pricing starts at $0.99 per outcome. You get a 14 day trial, and once it ends there is no free plan to fall back to.

The custom-code route works for every tool on this list except Intercom, which has its own component, and it takes about five minutes.
- Create your account with the vendor and, for Darwin and Jotform, give it your Framer site's URL so it can read your pages.
- Copy the snippet the vendor gives you.
- In Framer, open Project Settings, then Custom Code, and paste the snippet into the End of body slot. Choose every page, or only the pages that should have chat.
- Publish. Custom code does not run in the editor preview, so check the published site.
- Open the live site in a private window, ask the bot three real questions from your pricing page, and if it books meetings, book one yourself.

Does Framer have an AI chatbot?
Not the kind that talks to visitors. Framer's AI generates copy, translates pages and suggests layouts while you are building. It does not sit on the published site and answer questions.
