What happens when a visitor clicks a chat button?
The Darwin chat already on your page opens and starts the conversation you chose for that button: it sends the button’s message so Darwin answers right away, puts the message in the chat box for the visitor to edit, or lets Darwin speak first. The visitor stays on the page.
Do chat buttons work with my website builder?
Yes. Each button is a single link with its styles built in, so it works anywhere you can paste HTML, including Webflow, WordPress and Framer. Your Darwin chat needs to be installed on the same site.
Can the buttons match our brand?
Yes. Buttons start from your chat’s brand color in four styles: Brand, Soft, Outline and Text link. You can change the background, text, border and hover colors, the width, the padding, the text size and the corners.
Do chats from buttons affect my opening tests?
No. A chat that starts from a button is not credited to that page’s opening test for the rest of the visit, so your test results reflect the openings themselves.
