# Darwin + MCP server

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client to Darwin, and work with your website chat from the AI assistant you already use.

This is the Markdown version of https://www.meetdarwin.ai/integrations/mcp, published by Darwin and generated on 12 October 2026.

Darwin runs an MCP server, so any AI assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol can work with your workspace. Ask how the chat did this week, what visitors asked that the agent couldn't answer, or which opening is winning, and have it add knowledge or change the greeting when you allow it. You connect with a Darwin sign-in or an API key, choose read only or full access, and can disconnect at any time.

## What you can do

- **Answers from your real numbers.** Results, leads, meetings and conversations come straight from Darwin, not from a screenshot or an export.
- **Find the gaps fast.** Ask what visitors wanted that the agent couldn't answer, then add the missing knowledge in the same chat.
- **You stay in control.** Connect read only to look, or allow changes to knowledge, the agent and opening tests. Disconnect at any time.

## How they work together

1. **Add Darwin.** In Claude or ChatGPT, add a custom connector with Darwin's MCP server URL.
2. **Sign in and allow.** Sign in to Darwin and choose read only or full access.
3. **Ask in plain words.** Ask about your chat; the assistant reads and acts through Darwin's tools.

## Before you connect

- Claude or ChatGPT with custom connectors (depending on your plan; ChatGPT may need developer mode), or an MCP client such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Owner or admin access in Darwin, to allow a connection.

## Questions

**Which assistants work?**

Claude on the web and desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP, with a Darwin sign-in or an API key. Each has its own page with setup steps.

**Can it change my agent?**

Only with full access. Read only lets it look and never change anything. Full access can add knowledge, change the agent's wording and look, and manage opening tests.

**What can it see?**

What you can see in Darwin for that workspace: results, conversations, leads and meetings. Read only still includes leads' names and emails; connect with an API key without the contacts scope to leave them out.
