# Darwin + Cursor

Manage your website chat from Cursor: read results, find unanswered questions, add knowledge and update the agent.

This is the Markdown version of https://www.meetdarwin.ai/integrations/cursor, published by Darwin and generated on 13 October 2026.

Add Darwin to Cursor in one click and let Cursor's agent work with your website chat while you code: read results and conversations, find the questions the agent couldn't answer, add knowledge from your docs, and update the agent's wording. Cursor signs in to Darwin the first time it connects.

## What you can do

- **Answers from your real numbers.** Results, leads, meetings and conversations come straight from Darwin, not from a screenshot or an export.
- **Find the gaps fast.** Ask what visitors wanted that the agent couldn't answer, then add the missing knowledge in the same chat.
- **You stay in control.** Connect read only to look, or allow changes to knowledge, the agent and opening tests. Disconnect at any time.

## How they work together

1. **Add Darwin.** Use the one-click install link, or add Darwin's URL to mcp.json.
2. **Sign in and allow.** Connect in Cursor's MCP settings, sign in to Darwin and choose read only or full access.
3. **Ask the agent.** Ask Cursor about your chat, or to add knowledge from a file you're editing.

## Before you connect

- Cursor with MCP support (current versions).
- Owner or admin access in Darwin, to allow a connection.

## Questions

**Can I use an API key instead of signing in?**

Yes. Add an Authorization header with a Darwin API key in mcp.json, and keep that file out of any repository.

**Can it change my agent?**

Only with full access. Read only lets it look and never change anything. Full access can add knowledge, change the agent's wording and look, and manage opening tests.

**What can it see?**

What you can see in Darwin for that workspace: results, conversations, leads and meetings. Read only still includes leads' names and emails; connect with an API key without the contacts scope to leave them out.
