# Darwin + ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT about your website chat, find what it couldn't answer, and update the agent, with Darwin as a custom MCP server.

This is the Markdown version of https://www.meetdarwin.ai/integrations/chatgpt, published by Darwin and generated on 13 October 2026.

Add Darwin to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server and ask about your website chat in plain words: how this week compared with last, which questions the agent couldn't answer, which opening is winning. With full access, ChatGPT can add knowledge and change the agent's wording for you. Mention @Darwin in a chat to use it.

## What you can do

- **Answers from your real numbers.** Results, leads, meetings and conversations come straight from Darwin, not from a screenshot or an export.
- **Find the gaps fast.** Ask what visitors wanted that the agent couldn't answer, then add the missing knowledge in the same chat.
- **You stay in control.** Connect read only to look, or allow changes to knowledge, the agent and opening tests. Disconnect at any time.

## How they work together

1. **Add the server.** In ChatGPT, open Plugins and add a custom MCP server with Darwin's URL.
2. **Sign in and allow.** Sign in to Darwin and choose read only or full access.
3. **Ask ChatGPT.** Type @Darwin in a chat and ask about your website chat.

## Before you connect

- A ChatGPT plan that allows custom MCP servers. On a business plan, your workspace admin's policies apply.
- Owner or admin access in Darwin, to allow a connection.

## Questions

**Is Darwin in the ChatGPT plugin directory?**

Not yet. Add it as a custom MCP server for now; the setup guide shows each step.

**Can it change my agent?**

Only with full access. Read only lets it look and never change anything. Full access can add knowledge, change the agent's wording and look, and manage opening tests.

**What can it see?**

What you can see in Darwin for that workspace: results, conversations, leads and meetings. Read only still includes leads' names and emails; connect with an API key without the contacts scope to leave them out.
