# 8 best Webflow chatbots in 2026, and how each one installs

Webflow has no chatbot of its own, so here are eight AI chatbots that install on a Webflow site through custom code, an embed element or a native app. Which ones learn from your pages, which book a meeting in the chat, and what each costs.

## What to take away

- Webflow does not ship a chatbot. Its AI features write copy and build layouts; talking to visitors is a third-party job, and every tool here does it with one snippet in site-wide custom code.
- Install is a five-minute task on Webflow, so choose on what the chat does afterwards: reads your pages on its own, books a meeting inside the conversation, and gets better without you.
- Seven of the eight have a free plan or trial. Only one, Darwin, keeps improving its opening lines with nobody running tests.
- Marketing sites built on Webflow are usually there to start conversations. Pick a chatbot that ends them with a booked call, not a form.

People search for a Webflow chatbot expecting to find one inside Webflow. There is not one. Webflow's AI tools help you write copy and lay out pages; they do not talk to the people reading them. So a chatbot on a Webflow site is always a third-party tool, and the good news is that Webflow makes that easy: one snippet in Project Settings, under Custom Code, and it is live on every page. A disclosure before the list. We make Darwin , AI website chat that answers from your pages and books meetings, and a lot of our customers run Webflow, so we have a view here. We have still written the list we would hand a friend who just shipped a Webflow site, and it includes tools we would pick over Darwin for a store or a support desk. Every price and plan detail comes from the vendor's own published pages and carries the date we last checked it. If you only read one paragraph: a marketing site that exists to book demos should start with Darwin, which is free until it books. A team that wants a no-code native Webflow app with a trial: ChatBot.com. A small business that wants a free bot that trains itself on the site: Jotform. Already on HubSpot or Intercom: install the chat you already pay for before adding anything.

**Webflow chatbots at a glance**
The first column is how each tool gets onto a Webflow site. Learns from your site means the assistant reads your pages itself rather than waiting for you to paste answers. Hover a cell for the full finding and its check date.

## Custom code, embed element, or native app

Webflow gives you three ways to add a chatbot, and which one a vendor supports tells you something about the product. Site-wide custom code is the normal route. In Project Settings, open Custom Code and paste the vendor's snippet into the footer. Publish, and the widget appears on every page of the site. It takes five minutes and survives every design change you make afterwards, because it is not part of the design. Darwin, Elfsight's floating bubble, Tidio, HubSpot and Intercom all install this way. An Embed element puts the chat inside a specific page. You drag an Embed onto the canvas, paste the vendor's HTML, and the conversation area appears where you put it. Chatbase documents this route for an inline agent, and Elfsight offers it as an alternative to the bubble. It is the right choice when you want a chat panel as part of a page rather than a corner widget. A native Webflow app is the rarest option. ChatBot.com's integration authorises through Webflow's app marketplace and adds the widget without any code. Convenient, and it means the vendor has committed to Webflow specifically. Custom code: site-wide, five minutes, unaffected by redesigns. The default. Embed element: page-specific, good for an inline conversation panel. Native app: no code at all, but only ChatBot.com offers one on this list.

## Darwin

Best suited to marketing and B2B sites on Webflow that exist to turn visitors into booked calls. Less suited to stores that need order lookups, or teams that need a support inbox.

Install on Webflow: Custom code, no app; starting price: $0/mo; free plan or trial: 5 free bookings; native booking: Via integration (facts checked 16 September 2026).

Paste one snippet into Webflow's site-wide custom code and Darwin is live; there is no separate Darwin marketplace app. There is no Darwin app to install and nothing in the Designer to maintain; the snippet in site-wide custom code is the whole integration. Darwin reads your Webflow site on its own: Discovers relevant website pages and prepares the knowledge base. A visitor asks a question, gets an answer from your pages, and if they sound interested, picks a time on your calendar through Calendly, RevenueHero or HubSpot Meetings without leaving the chat. Then it does the thing none of the other seven do. It gets better on its own, trying different opening lines on each page, keeping the ones that lead to more meetings, and dropping the rest. Origin costs $0/mo and includes 5 free bookings; after that it is $20/booking, or a plan from $99/mo with bookings included. The step-by-step is on the Darwin Webflow integration page , and the plans are on the pricing page .

Strengths: One snippet in Webflow custom code, no app; Learns your business from your pages in under an hour; Books the meeting inside the chat, on the scheduler you already run; The only tool here that improves its own openings without intervention.

Limitations: Website only: no e-commerce order data, no support inbox; Cannot see content that is not published; Younger product with a shorter track record.

If the Webflow site is a marketing site, this is the chatbot that pays for itself. Free until it books.

## ChatBot.com

Best suited to teams that want a native Webflow app, no code, and a trial before paying. Less suited to sites that need a free plan long term, or chat that improves on its own.

Install on Webflow: Native app, no code; starting price: $25/user/mo; free plan or trial: 14 day trial; native booking: Offers a booking (facts checked 16 September 2026).

ChatBot.com, made by Text, is the only tool on this list that treats Webflow as a first-class platform. Instead of a snippet you open its Website widgets screen, add your Webflow site, click Add to Webflow and authorise the app in the marketplace. Then you add the widget in Webflow and publish, and the status flips to connected without a line of code. Your Webflow pages become a knowledge source, so the agent answers from them, and it can qualify a visitor and offer a consultation booking on the way out. It is a paid product. Essential is $25 per user per month on monthly billing, or $19 per user per month billed annually. You get a 14 day trial to decide, and the plans cap AI activity: Per-user plans with monthly AI resolution caps: 10 on Essential, 200 on Growth. Details are on ChatBot.com's Webflow page .

Strengths: Native Webflow app, authorised in the marketplace; Website pages and files as knowledge sources; Consultation booking offered in the chat.

Limitations: No free plan after the trial; Per-user pricing with monthly AI resolution caps; Openings are written by hand.

The cleanest install on Webflow, for a team willing to pay per user.

## Jotform AI Chatbot

Best suited to small businesses that want a free chatbot that trains itself on the Webflow site and can take reservations. Less suited to high-traffic sites on the free tier, or teams that want the chat to improve by itself.

Install on Webflow: Embed code; starting price: $0/mo; free plan or trial: Free plan; native booking: Google Calendar reservations (facts checked 16 September 2026).

Jotform is a forms company that happens to have built a very good free chatbot, and the Webflow version is the easiest install on this list after ChatBot.com. You paste an embed code, point it at your Webflow site, and it reads your pages itself; there is no training step for you to do. It will also take reservations against your Google Calendar availability, which for a clinic, a studio or a consultancy is most of what a chatbot needs to do. The limit is volume, because it runs on Jotform's plans. The Starter plan is free with 100 monthly conversations and 5 active AI agents. Once you are past that, Bronze is $39 per month with 1,000 conversations; Silver $49 with 2,500; Gold $129 with 10,000. A busy site will hit the Starter cap in the first week. Details are on Jotform's Webflow chatbot page .

Strengths: Trains itself on your Webflow site; Free Starter plan; Reservations through Google Calendar.

Limitations: Conversation caps on every plan; Tied to the Jotform account structure; No self-optimization of the chat.

The best free starting point for a small business on Webflow.

## Elfsight AI Chatbot

Best suited to sites that want a cheap assistant trained on their URLs, as a floating bubble or an inline panel. Less suited to anyone who needs booking or more than a few hundred messages a month on a small budget.

Install on Webflow: Embed element or footer code; starting price: $0/mo; free plan or trial: Free plan; native booking: Not documented (facts checked 16 September 2026).

Elfsight documents both Webflow routes. Inline: add an Embed element and paste the code. Floating bubble: paste the snippet into Project Settings, Custom Code, Footer Code and publish. It trains on your URLs, files and Q&A. The Free plan is $0 forever with 1 chatbot, 50 messages and 200 views a month. Basic is $5 per month with 3 chatbots and 300 messages; Pro $10 with 1,000 messages; Premium $20 with 3,000. Plans scale by messages and views rather than seats. Details are on Elfsight's Webflow page .

Strengths: Bubble or inline embed, both documented for Webflow; Trains on your URLs; Free plan and very low paid tiers.

Limitations: Tight message caps on the low tiers; No meeting booking; A widget, not a sales tool.

The cheapest decent widget for a Webflow site that just wants questions answered.

## Chatbase

Best suited to teams that want one AI agent across chat, email and voice, with a Webflow page as one surface. Less suited to anyone who wants a corner widget with the least setup.

Install on Webflow: Embed element (iframe); starting price: $0/mo; free plan or trial: Free plan; native booking: Calendly or Cal.com in chat (facts checked 16 September 2026).

Chatbase's Webflow guide uses the Embed element: Deploy as a Website iFrame, then drag an Embed element into a Section, Container and Div on the Webflow canvas and paste the code. That gives you an inline agent on a chosen page rather than a site-wide bubble. Training and booking are covered: Add files, websites, text, Q&A, Notion pages and support tickets to train the agent; link sources can be individual URLs or a sitemap crawl. Calendly and Cal.com actions let customers check availability and book meetings without leaving the chat. The Free plan is $0 with 50 message credits a month and one member. Hobby is $40 per month with 700 message credits; Standard $150 with 4,000; Pro $500 with 15,000. Details are in Chatbase's Webflow guide .

Strengths: Multi-channel agents from one build; Calendly and Cal.com booking inside the chat; Websites, files and Notion as training sources.

Limitations: Webflow guide is an inline iframe, not a floating widget; Message credits run out fast on the free plan; Free agents are deleted after 14 days of inactivity.

Good if the Webflow page is one of several places the same agent lives.

## Tidio

Best suited to small businesses and stores that want live chat plus an AI agent on a Webflow site. Less suited to B2B sites that need the meeting booked inside the chat, not a link.

Install on Webflow: Widget code in custom code; starting price: $0/mo; free plan or trial: 7 day trial; native booking: Via integration (facts checked 16 September 2026).

Tidio installs the standard way: Copy the widget code from the Tidio panel and embed it in your Webflow site. The Free plan has no monthly fee. Paid plans start at $29/mo, and the Lyro AI agent is sold on top: Lyro AI Agent quota starts at $39 per month for 50 conversations on monthly billing. Lyro learns from website URLs you paste in. For meetings, Lyro can share a Calendly scheduling link through a Book-a-call Action. Side-by-side: Darwin vs Tidio .

Strengths: Widget code into Webflow custom code; Free plan, plus a 7 day trial of paid features; Lyro trains on URLs you provide.

Limitations: Booking is a shared link, not in-chat; Priced by conversation volume; Built for support and stores, not B2B pipeline.

The safe pick for a Webflow store. Not a pipeline tool.

## HubSpot

Best suited to companies already on HubSpot CRM that want chat on their Webflow site without another vendor. Less suited to teams on another CRM, or anyone who wants the opening line to improve without hand-editing flows.

Install on Webflow: Tracking code in footer; starting price: $0/mo; free plan or trial: Free tools; native booking: Yes (facts checked 16 September 2026).

HubSpot's chat rides on its tracking code. Paste the HubSpot tracking code before the closing body tag on each page; live chat widgets depend on it. Once the code is in Webflow's footer custom code, the free live chat and bots work like they do anywhere else. Free tools include live chat and a limited chatbot with HubSpot branding. The Breeze customer agent answers from your website pages and is metered in credits: The customer agent uses 50 HubSpot Credits per resolved conversation. Booking works the HubSpot way: Chatbots share a HubSpot meetings link; the customer agent can route qualified leads to a meeting link. Side-by-side: Darwin vs HubSpot .

Strengths: Free live chat and bots, native to the CRM; One tracking code covers chat, forms and analytics; Customer agent learns from public website URLs.

Limitations: AI agent costs credits on top of seats; Bots are flow builders; you write every opening; Sales chat is a feature, not the product.

If you are on HubSpot, paste the tracking code and try the free chat first.

## Intercom

Best suited to support-led companies on Webflow that want one messenger for service, with a sales assist. Less suited to sales teams that do not need a helpdesk and would rather not pay per seat and per answer.

Install on Webflow: Messenger snippet in footer; starting price: $39/seat/mo; free plan or trial: 14 day trial; native booking: Via integration (facts checked 16 September 2026).

Intercom does not have a Webflow-specific integration, and it does not need one. Its install article says to paste the Messenger code before the closing body tag on every page, which on Webflow is a single paste into footer custom code. From there you get the whole Intercom product: the Messenger, Fin answering from your content, and Fin for Sales layered on top for qualification and, through Calendly or HubSpot, booking. The price is the reason it sits last here rather than first. Seats start at $39/seat/mo, and on top of that Fin pricing starts at $0.99 per outcome. You get a 14 day trial, and once it ends there is no free plan to fall back to. For a support-led company that is a fair trade. For a Webflow marketing site, it is a helpdesk you may never open. Side-by-side: Darwin vs Intercom .

Strengths: Best-in-class support inbox and help center; Messenger imports your logo and colors from your domain; Fin drafts a sales playbook from your pricing page.

Limitations: Seats plus per-outcome fees, so the bill grows when the AI succeeds; Sales chat is an add-on to a support product; No free plan after the trial.

Right if support is the bigger problem on your Webflow site.

## How to add a chatbot to a Webflow site

The custom-code route works for every tool on this list except Chatbase's inline guide, and it takes about five minutes. Create your account with the vendor and, for Darwin and Jotform, give it your Webflow site's URL so it can read your pages. Copy the snippet the vendor gives you. In Webflow, open Project Settings, then Custom Code, and paste the snippet into Footer Code. Save, then Publish to your live domain. Custom code does not appear in the Designer preview, so check the published site. Open the live site in a private window, ask the bot three real questions from your pricing page, and if it books meetings, book one yourself. For an inline panel on one page, drag an Embed element onto the canvas, paste the vendor's embed HTML, save and publish. For ChatBot.com, skip the code entirely and authorise the app from its Website widgets screen. The Darwin Webflow guide walks through the custom-code route with screenshots.

## Does Webflow have an AI chatbot builder?

Short answer: no, and it is worth being clear about why, because a lot of people type this into Google every month. Webflow's AI lives inside the Designer. It will draft your hero copy, translate a page into German, and suggest a layout. What it will not do is sit in the corner of your published site and answer a visitor at eleven at night. Nothing in Webflow does that, and there is no official Webflow chatbot app either. So every chatbot you have ever seen on a Webflow site came from somewhere else, pasted into custom code, dropped into an Embed element, or connected through a marketplace app. Which is exactly what this list is for.

> **Read “Not documented” carefully** Where a table cell says Not documented, the vendor's public pages did not confirm the capability when we checked. That is not the same as no. Ask on the demo, and ask for it in writing.

## How to choose

Eight tools, three install routes. The same list by the site you actually run. Your Webflow site exists to book demos or calls: Darwin, with one snippet and nothing to pay until it books. You want a native Webflow app and no code, and you are happy to pay per user after a trial: ChatBot.com. You want a free bot that trains itself on the site and can take reservations: Jotform. You want the cheapest bubble that answers from your URLs: Elfsight. You want one agent across chat, email and voice, with an inline panel on a Webflow page: Chatbase. You run a store on Webflow: Tidio. You already pay for HubSpot or Intercom: paste the code you already have before buying anything.

## Questions

**Does Webflow have a built-in chatbot?**

No. Webflow's AI helps with copy and layout, not with talking to visitors. Chatbots on Webflow sites are third-party tools added through site-wide custom code, an Embed element, or, in ChatBot.com's case, a native app from the Webflow marketplace.

**How do I add a chatbot to Webflow?**

Copy the vendor's snippet, open Project Settings in Webflow, choose Custom Code, paste it into Footer Code, save and publish. The widget appears on every page of the live site. For a panel on a single page, use an Embed element instead. Either route takes about five minutes.

**What is the best chatbot for a Webflow site?**

It depends on the site. A marketing site that should turn visitors into booked calls is best served by Darwin, which also improves its own opening lines. A team that wants a no-code native app can use ChatBot.com. A small business that wants a free bot trained on its pages should try Jotform. A store, Tidio.

**Is there a free chatbot for Webflow?**

Yes. Jotform, Elfsight, Chatbase and Tidio have free plans with caps on conversations or messages, and HubSpot's chat is free with the CRM. Darwin is free with 5 free bookings and unlimited chats, and only charges once it books a meeting.

**Will a chatbot slow down my Webflow site?**

A single script in footer custom code loads after your page and usually has little effect on Core Web Vitals. Test on the published site rather than the Designer preview, which does not run custom code, and load the widget only on the pages where you want it if the vendor allows it.
